The current Diocesan policy states that all volunteers who have contact with children and vulnerable adults must be fingerprinted and be trained in Safe Environment.
Every adult (18 years or older) who volunteers for St. John Vianney School must be compliant with Diocesan policy. For teen volunteers (age 14 up to age 18), they must complete the teen training below. In order to be compliant, please complete the following three requirements for ALL volunteers: 1. Get fingerprinted: Verify Group 262 E. Hamilton Ave., Suite A, Campbell, CA 95008 408-761-2156 Call for an appointment Monday-Friday (9:00AM-5:00PM) (Walk-ins OK 1:00-4:00PM) Identify yourself as a volunteer for St. John Vianney School. The cost to be fingerprinted is $67. This cost consists of $20 processing facility fee, $32 DOJ fee, and $15 FBI fee. Important: Please submit a copy of fingerprinting receipt to parish office immediately after appointment. You will be notified regarding the outcome of your fingerprints by the Office Manager. 2. Complete the Safe Environment Online Training: Training website (after you register below): www.virtusonline.org A. Adult Volunteers (18+ yrs old) & New DSJ Employees: Course: Protecting God’s Children (PGC) (Registration Link & Registration Instructions) |
Training is required every 3 years.
B. Teen Volunteers (age 14 up to 18 yrs old) Course: Healthy Relationships for Teens (Registration Link & Registration Instructions) Training is required every 2 years. Once a teen reaches 18 yrs of age, they are required to complete the adult course to continue their service.C. For employees or volunteers who are involved in ministry to home-bound, elderly, or other vulnerable adults, they must complete this course Course: PGC and Vulnerable Adults (Registration Link & Registration Instructions) Training is required every 3 years. Print/email your completion certificate to the St. John Vianney School Parish office 3. Submit the Adult Volunteer Waiver Form to the school office. An Adult Volunteer Waiver Form is required for ALL volunteers. If you are volunteering in any capacity for St. John Vianney Catholic School, this is a REQUIRED form.
